Have you ever become deeply invested in something without even realizing it? Two years is not a terribly long time, but in this short amount of time, I have managed to revolve my life around the place I work. It only just dawned on me tonight, as I was pouring my second cup of coffee for the night, that the majority of my life as I know it can be related back to this god-forsaken place. Nothing extraordinary happened to cause this epiphany, but rather the repetition of events that happen night after night... it suddenly stuck me that my job is a major part of my life, and I didn't even realize it until now. It is my belief that very few people actually like their jobs. Perhaps this is not true, or perhaps the statement is worded incorrectly; if the majority of people had a choice, they would choose another job for themselves in lieu of the one they currently have. However correct or incorrect that statement may be, I can say for sure that I feel this way about my job. The more I ponder this dislike of my job, the more I come to the realization of how important it really is to at least LIKE your job, if not be in complete adoration of it. This realization, of course, sounds good in theory, but certainly is not feasible for everyone. Surel
